So today I took the Beebits to the park to meet a friend of mine who’s got a lil baby of her own now, so the two lil guys could “meet” (Her son’s like 9 weeks lol!) and we could catch up… It’s beencold here, so, of course, I get lil man into some sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt, then a hoodie over (packed the beanie just in case). We made it as far as the car before I stripped the hoodie off, and my own sweatshirt, because it was too warm.
By the time we got to the park, I was sweating in my long pants w/socks and shoes (thought about wearin my flip flops and had decided agaisnt it – dumb decision.) Lil man was wearin boxer briefs under the sweats so when we got to the playground I convinced him to get shoeless, sockless and sweats-less. And for the record, it wasn’t really convincing. It was like, “Honey, you want to play in the sand n our toes? You want to get those hot sweatpants off?” *STRIPS OFF HIS SHOES SOCKS & SWEATS* Ok, so that’s a “Yes” then? Lol! So – he played at the park, in February, in his shirt and underwear. This is crazy!! Cute, but crazy weather
He did wet a tiny bit in his boxers though and ended up in tighties, but no one cares on a 2 yr old ![]()
So my friend and I stood and chatted in the bright sunshiney morning … I held her wee lil angel, who fell asleep in my arms – agh, I want more! – and we watched the Beebits run around and play. It was a great time seeing her, and catching up on what’s been ging on with us since I saw her last. ALSO, since the Beebits hadn’t seen her since the baby was born, he remembered him being in her tummy and so today was the firsttime he got to actually meet his new friend! We sat on the grass together and I helped him ‘hold’ the new baby, and he was so sweet and gentle
He’ll be such a good big brother (SOMEday)!

My lil man and I also had some fun yesterday, playin with chalks… he convinced me to come draw chalks with him and he’s SO demanding! “Make a flower and a duck mommy!” “Make Toothless, Mommy!”

Wasn't really bein serious about Toothless when I started but then by the time I really got into it it was too late to make it 'good' lol!
“Make Larry-Boy, Mommy!” *whew*
We now need to buy more chalks. I really do have fun doing it, but I end up using up all his colors when I play! Lol!

OK, now, remember the SpiritHood post? Ok, you HAVE to see this. This is the Beebits in his (riiiiight.) “wolf costume”! He loves this thing, puts his hands into the ‘paws’ and crawls around – howling at the moon.. it’s awesome! Did I mention that I can’t wait for the kids line to come out!?!?

Okay, okay, YES I have something foodie to share too! In fact, it’s the reason I got on to post and then got caught up in all the cutie patootie Beebits updates
I have a new recipe for you. I was browsing my kitchen stock tonight, looking for dessert… I haven’t got anything dessert-y here, so I knew I’d have to be making somethin… I thought about making some babies cause it’s been awhile… but I really wanted something cold, like ice cream, or a milkshake… SO I used the dates and cocoa powder idea from the babies and created something sinfully delicious! Katie, you’d be SO PROUD! AND, it turned out so freaking awesomely that as I drink it, I’m here to share it with you!
Sinfully Rich Vegan Chocolate Milkshake (Sugar-Free!)
- 40g. pitted dates (doesn’t matter really what kind)
- 1c. vanilla soymilk (or rice, almond, hemp etc.)
- 1ttsp vanilla extract
- 15g unsweetened cocoa powder (I used Hershey’s)
- 1tsp xanthan gum (thickener – maybe optional, I used cause I had some, but it should still thicken with the ice cubes blended in)
- stevia to taste
- 10 ice cubes (give or take a few – how frozen do you want it?!)
Blend all until well mixed and ENJOY! This is the richest, creamiest shake ever! LOVE IT! Of course, it helps that it’s chocolate, low-fat AND sugar free!
Ok ok, I’m off to ENJOY my shake and try to finish a book I’m into … But tell me, have you ever been desperate for a meal/treat/etc and thrown something together that became a favorite thing?! Mmmmmm… I have!
